Tracking the Weather Using Technology Students explore the use of technology to monitor and forecast weather.
Flathead Lessons Summary
Adapted to Fire Students learn about forest species' adaptations to fire by participating in a scavenger hunt and mapping a burned forest.
Forests and Photosynthesis Students are introduced to the concept of photosynthesis through an investigation in which they test the effects of light on seedlings.
Pollution Solution Students explore the role trees play in absorbing pollution emitted from automobiles.
You Decide Students explore the implications of land management through a simulation of a Tribal Council meeting.
Nez Perce Lessons Summary
Petroglyphs: Protecting the Past Students investigate the three types of rocks and learn about petroglyphs.
The Appaloosa - Horse of the Nez Perce Students predict the route of the Nez Perce during the Nez Perce War, and examine the suitability of the Appaloosa horse for traveling the terrain.
The Bulbs:   Camas and Daffodil Students learn about interdependence in Nature through the exploration of the camas bulb, a traditional staple food of the Nez Perce people.
