What Are the Seasons? Students learn about seasons and how they are part of a continuous circle.

People of the Red Willow River Students learn a tribal homeland location before the reservation and explore the characteristics of the wood of a willow tree.
The Great Cedar Tree Students are introduced to the concept of interdependence through production of the play, The Great Cedar Tree
Traditional Uses of Wood Students explore properties of wood used to make cultural items and make a ring and stick game.
Nez Perce Lessons Summary
Making Thunderstorms Students investigate the causes of thunderstorms and create the sounds of a thunderstorm.
Snowshoe Hare and Cottontail Rabbit Students explore how animals are adapted to their habitats.
The Tadpole and the Frog Students explore the connection between an organism and its environment.
Valley of the Butterflies By examining historical and contemporary images and maps, students will explore why butterfly populations in the Lapwai Valley have decreased.
