ANSLAMP provides research opportunities, professional development, evaluation, and works collaboratively with national and local organizations to continue to bring STEM to the forefront of the Indian Country.

Supported activities include: student enrichment, such as collaborative learning, skill development, and mentoring; academic enrichment, such as curricular and instructional improvement; and direct student support, such as summer activities.

ANLSAMP is the main program currently housed at IMSI. The goal of ANSLAMP is to double the number of American Indians achieving Bachelors degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) at our 55 partner institutions. ANSLAMP is funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and has been housed at Salish Kootenai College for 10 years.

Over time, we have developed a strong network of agencies, industry, and national American Indian organizations to support our students and our goals. ANSLAMP is the largest alliance both geographically and with regards to the number of institutions. Our partners include 34 tribal colleges and 20 major public and private institutions in a 12 state area.
